A cashless claim occurs when the policyholder does not have to pay the hospital bill from his own pocket for any medical treatment or surgery performed at a network hospital. The entire bill is approved directly by the insurance company according to the terms and conditions of the policy. A cashless claim can be filed for both emergency medical contingencies and planned hospitalisation.
